Our body is like a giant power house. It has many sensory centers akin to switches. These are called centra centres. Although there are hundreds of large and small switches but only thirteen have been specified as energy centers. Five of these centers are vital. The center of knowledge is at the forehead. This center is the fountainhead of all knowledge flowing in the body. By concentrating, chanting, the first line "Namo Arihantanam", the knowledge center with whole background, the intellectual capacity is stimulated. The mind become active, energy starts flowing.
Deficiency of white colour in the body causes many aliments. Compensating this deficiency through meditation, one can become healthy. Namo Siddhanam. Siddha is that soul which has achieved complete fulfillments of all desires. Siddhas are innumerable soul exists in aural form. Meditate over the line 'Namo Siddhanam' with the background of red colour of the sun rising from the east. Red colour helps in controlling the pituitary gland and its secretion. It increases agility, alertness, enthusiasm and happiness, fearlessness. It also improves the inner vision. The Acharya is to preach the religion of right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct to the four-fold religio-social organisation comprising of Sadhu (Monk), Sadhavi (Nun), Sravaka (layman), Sravika (laywoman). As we meditate over Namo Ayariyanam, we get determination for good conduct and inner strength for lofty ideas. The colour attributed to this line is golden yellow. Upadhayaya catch up means near to study. Those from whom one can get the knowledge of scriptures, they are like torch of knowledge. Blue flame of knowledge is helpful in attaining knowledge and education. The colour of ink is blue. Which increases peace and tranquility of body and mind. A sadhu carries Pancha Mahavrata (non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy and detachment). Meditation over the line 'Namo Savvasahunam' is done in sparking black colour and its enhances the feelings of patience, forgiveness, pity, tolerance, discipline and compassion. Self-protection is the most important theme in life. According to Mantra texts one has to create a shield for self-protection before starting practice of a Mantra. This is in order to avoid any fear or disturbance during practice. Generally speaking, before going out of the residence every morning, he may be safe from fear, trouble and accident. Any oppression or influence of evil spirits is also made ineffective. |
