Bhagwan Shree RushabhDev was born at the end of Aranya Sanskruti, amidst of great many problems & chaos.

Previous Birth:-
Bhagawan RushabhDev, in his previous birth was in the Mahavideh kshetra as Dhannaseth. He was a big business man. Once he decided to go abroad and said that, people who wished to accompany him were most welcome & in turn he would look after their comforts.
Amongst many people was, Acharya Dharma Ghosh, with his shishyaas. Dhanna seth was too glad to be accompanied by such an acharya. Later on he completed 7 births as Dev & humans and in his 9th birth, he was born as Jivanand Vaidya. He had 4 unpartable best friends, namely - Raj putra, Shrestha putra, Mantri putra & Sarthavaah putra. All 5 of them together discovered a medicine for pandu Rog (a dreaded skin disease).
In his eleventh birth, he was born as prince Vajranabh - father Maharaja Vajrasena & mother Maharani Dharini in Mahavideh pushkalavati, while he was in mothers womb the Maharani dreamt 14 great dreams & lateron prince Vajranabh became a Chakravorti. In late future, Vajranabh, influenced by his fathers preachings, took the path of Diksha & after a long passage of time became tirthankar.

Birth of Shree RushabhDev:-

Mata MaruDevi dreamt of 14 great unusual dreams, when son Rushabh took shape in her sacred womb. The 14 dreams were -

Mata Marudevi was very happy and excited and she narrated all her dreams,one by one to Rushabhs father-nabhikulkar.They considered it to be very auspious omen & they welcomed their child .All Devi & Devas came to see the child & celebrated the moment. As the child had the sign of Vrushabh in his chest, & since Mata MaruDevis first dream was Vrushabh, they named him Vrushabh Kumar. Sunanda was his twin sister.
While crossing the threshold of his teens, Vrushabh was married to 2 wives. One was Sumangala.
Sunanda gave birth to twins - Bahubali - Sundari. But Sumangala gave birth to 50 twins. Total Vrushabh had 108 sons and 2daughters. Eldest son was Bharat.

Hunger & Poverty were in increasing trend. Nabhi Kulkar had no solutions for this problems, so he was sad. Day to day piles of Complaints poured in. So, people approached him & requested him to be the King & rule, but he refused and preparation were made to crown Rushabh as the King. So, Rushabh was crowned the King of Vinita.
There after, to abolish poverty & hunger, King taught the common people to plough the land & thus agriculture came into being.
Along with that, Rushabh taught people the use of agni, method of cooking, (as people ate raw food) art of war, pottery, business shrewdness, controlled crime & theft, & superb craftsmanship as well as how to be independent & self reliant.
Rushabh's life span was 84 lakh year,but he spent 83 lakh year in civiliz000000ing people & make them cultured in all fields.
Then Rushabh diverted his attention towards religion & its principles. Devas came in their dev viman to request Rushabh to spread Jainism .
He took a firm decision & divided his kingdom into 100 parts & gave vinita city to the eldest son Bharat & remaining 99 cities to his 99 sons.
