Previous Birth:-

In the west of Mahavideh of Bharat Vijay of Champa city, king Munisuvrat was born.But he gave up all wordly pleasures & chose the path of diksha & became a muni.

Birth:-

Rajgrih city of bharat kshetra was ruled by king sumitra.A great atma was to be born from the womb of queen Prabhavati,as the queen dreamt 14 auspicious dreams.

On Baishakh Vud aathum,at midnight,the prince was born amidst great joy & pomp & ceremony.All the devas celebrated the birth and the king too rejoiced & illuminated the entire city.

Naming ceremony:-

King opined that since queen Prabhavati during her pregnancy had observed various "Vratas"(fasts) without breaking it,the prince be named "Munisuvrat."

Marriage & kingdom:-

On attaining maturity prince Munisuvrat was married & king crowned the prince as the king & retired.

Diksha:-

Munisuvrat entrusted his kingdom to his heir & took diksha on fagun Sud Baras.

Nirvan

Bhagwan Munisuvrat attained nirvan on summet shikhar after sacrificing food & water for a month.
