Previous birth:-

Samrat Vijay Sen ruled Pushkalavati in east Jambudweep. Maharani Sudarshana and the Samrat pined for a child. After many years they were blessed & Maharani delivered a baby boy. He was named Purush Singh.

One day, he went to a garden there he had darshan of Acharya Vijaya Nandan. His conscious opened wide & he had the sense of good and bad. Slowly he turned his back towards worldly pursuits.

Right in young age, he had a strong desire to become a muni. He took diksha & underwent severe penances and meditation.

Birth:-

Samrat Megh ruled Ayodhya, along with Maharani Mangavati. Maharani Manglavati. Maharani Mangalavati Visualised 14 auspicious dream while the prince was in her womb, as he was destined to be a tirthankar.

On the midnight of Vaishakh Sud aatham, Prince was born, Birth was rejoiced and celebrated.

Naming Ceremony:-

According to Raja Megh, ever since Maharanis pregnancy, her intelligence improved. She became an expert in solving political problems. So, the prince was named Sumati Kumar.

Matrimony & kingdom:-

Prince Sumati Kumar was married and crowned king, Using the best of opportunities, KIng Megh retired.

Diksha:-

On Vaishakh Sud Nom, he took Diksha and did loach vidhi. For 20 years, he did best of severe penances and tapasyas.

Nirvan:-

After one month of sacrificing food and water, Bhagwan Sumatinath attained Nirvan on summet shikhar.
